Recent research by McCrindle, a leading social research organisation, finds that young people these days (Generations Z and Alpha) think “collaboration and contribution” as the ideal leadership style. This is contrasted with the “command and control” style, which the older generations so often chose.
A leading cultural research organisation, McCrindle, recently published their research findings on Generations Z and Alpha—showing how different they are to the previous generations. Generation Z is the middle- and high-schoolers of today, and Generation Alpha are mostly children of millennials.
At the time of the New Testament, the word ekklesia could actually refer to various types of groups of people, including groups of confused people. In Acts 19:32, for example, Luke wrote, 'Meanwhile the people gathered in the building shouted; one says this and another says that, because they (ekklesia) are confused and most of them do not know what they are gathering for.'
The word 'church' is certainly not a foreign word to us. In fact, it is not impossible that some of us can explain various terminology about the church, complete with its meaning. However, not many really understand what 'church' means. Especially in the midst of this era, people's understanding of the 'church' seems to be increasingly distorted.
